POTF – Can you hear me – “Compassion is the answer”

Bees in your bonnet … Clairepeek?

Well, yes as a matter of fact! Yesterday and early this morning, I’ve had my shoes on my head and my feet in my bonnet… an “easy” situation or imagery inspired by a lot of friendly chats here and there, some interesting tweets and some very special guests on one of my all too famous playlists… YYEESS!! Poets of the Fall of course… Although, I hope Joanne Rowling will excuse my borrowing her Harry Potter line for my header, but it seems that the bees had no desire to vanish that easily. They play (not the bees you understand!) this song that makes me really happy though I think it not to be so cheery and yet still very endearing: Miss Impossible… but I can’t relate in a way that would fit or benefit a post so, moving on…

Now that the bees are back to work though, I have been meaning to write about some events of the world and my perception of them the past few weeks. I could sum it up with screams, tears, hitting the walls – or some individuals for that matter, but I am a pacifist and do not believe in violence – pulling my hair works too, burring my head in the sand as well etc. The truth is that it hurts too much to stay quiet and at the same time, and helping out, there is this counter-force made of Good soothing the hurt. No alarm please, I am quite well, and so are my family and my friends… the world, however, is very sick and it is spreading. Therefore, from my little corner of the world, I’ll join forces (in this instance) with Poets of the Fall to spread the love, and the more we are doing so the more powerful the remedy will be.

Can you hear me

What is going on the other side of the ocean? There live a peoples that had freedom and the power to make a different to better the situation of their home, how did they end up forfeiting that? The media support those against and those for… and then some might change side to support the winning opinion. No need to name names or point fingers, you know what I am talking about, besides that’s not my job. I cannot understand though how violence, bigotry, racism, sexism – and the list will be long when you’ve filled it as you see fit – makes us humans better than the wildlife from Alaska to be slaughtered if the federal rule is overturned (Source: A Humane Nation – Wayne Pacelle’s blog; President and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States. Read his blog post from February 16th, 2017). I must tell you, this turned my stomach upside-down… no wonder the bees gone bonkers in my bonnet!

In my home country, things are not as bright as one might think and the elections in April will show what kind of people I have to share my citizenship with. March 18th will take place in Paris the March for the 6th Republic – “The rebellious France“. Sorry if this is getting a bit political, but change does not happen unless we make it. The alternative of a France led by a racist is freaking me out… I know we’ve been very close before which means there is a big problem to be solved in France, but I am convinced and know – like many others – that she is not the answer. A regime based on intolerance is not the answer. Hope is around the corner so grab it by VOTING for equality, fraternity and freedom!

France Insoumise - Marche pour la 6e République

You flow inside of me, language and imagery, pure in
simplicity
Thirsting for unity, realised harmony,
No need to hide away your life, unique, yet so alike

Worldwide… don’t get me started on animal abuse. There are no words in any language that can describe the evil behind such acts. Too many things have gone wrong for the worst, but you read the news, you see the feeds from UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, WWF and so many more… why are these associations still necessary in our supposedly civilised world is beyond me.

There’s yet life in these words I speak for peace of mind and our release,

I’ve read that Colombia was free of the FARC guerrillas since they’ve been demobilising in November 2016. What good did that do? No, really I’d like to know. Would it mean no more press coverage so that they can kill at will anyone who still fight for freedom? This freedom that most of us take for granted and some just gave away to… hmm… this freedom is unknown to too many people in this world and guess what, it’s not getting better just sneakier. Enough! Stay informed to keep your freedom, and fight for it! Many inspiring fellow humans are doing just that for us who might be thinking that we have no voice in this time and era… wrong again!

Ari's Take - New Music Business

“Compassion is the answer”

There are actions that cheer me up a great deal every day though. The women’s march on January 2017 is one of them. As Wikipedia defines it: “The Women’s March was a worldwide protest on January 21, 2017, to advocate legislation and policies regarding human rights and other issues, including women’s rights, immigration reform, healthcare reform, the natural environment, LGBTQ rights, racial equality, freedom of religion, and workers’ rights.” Read more…

Can you hear me, I know I’m just a whisper
See right through me, brother mine, sweet sister
Love will find the answer

No voice is to low, or too small or too shy to be heard. Together we can dream big and make a difference so compassion can one day have the final word. I do not think we need to redefine what it means to be human but rather redefine how such an essential life lesson is taught to the younger generations. The respect for life in general is, in some parts of the world – that area growing too fast – a non-existent concept. At times I find that human nature is a rather convenient scapegoat to avoid addressing such issues.

Hiding deep within, doors cry opening
Lead into the light of love deep like the sea
Rich in variety, heartfelt and ope, wide like a life,
unique, yet so alike

This verse says it all therefore, I rest my case.

PS: Please understand that our dear favourite Poets are in no way associated with the opinions and political statements made in this post… unless directly linked with love and compassion talk of in the song Can you hear me…
